A pair of students sit reading in the leather couches in the corner nook of the Abromson Center next to the twenty-foot-tall table-and-chairs sculpture on the first floor. A gray-haired woman smiles from the reception desk, and upstairs the doors to the skywalk swish open and closed.
It has been said a thousand times over and shown in who knows how many different ways, yet it still doesn't seem to be heard. USM, for instance, recently finished New Hall, a "green" dorm, making it possible for the campus and its students to be more energy efficient.
The beginning of the spring semester is a time when students can still, for the most part, enjoy a break from looming deadlines. One deadline, however, is fast approaching-one that many students are still unaware of.
