General Information
The Free Press is a weekly student–run newspaper serving the University of Southern Maine. The Free Press is paid for in part with by the Student Activity Fee and additionally through advertising sales.
The Free Press reaches an estimated 11,000 students of USM, their friends and families on the Portland, Gorham and Lewsiton/Auburn campuses as well as in the greater Portland and Lewiston/Aubern communities.
We publish on Mondays throughout the Fall and Spring semesters, approximately 22 issues per year. Each issue has a circulation of 3000 copies and is distributed to over 55 locations on Portland and Gorham campus as well as at Lewiston/Auburn College and within the surrounding communities.
