Location: USM LAC Atrium Gallery
The Atrium Art Gallery at the University of Southern Maine’s Lewiston-Auburn College (USM LAC) will be presenting 38 paintings in a semester-long celebration of these powerful portraits. They are of individuals, both deceased and living, both famous and lesser known, with quotes incorporated into the paintings. In addition to being remarkable portraits they chronicle qualities - courage, honesty, and wisdom - inherent in those Americans who, throughout history, have taken the risk to tell their truth.
